Whatsapp has announced that it will be moving to a yearly subscription model for new users on iOS in a manner similar to other platforms such as Android, Blackberry etc. It has said that the change in subscription strategy is to make things simpler and bring uniformity across all platforms.

Ford announces SDK to access in-car controls

Ford has announced that developers will now be able to develop mobile apps that can be enabled to access in-car controls and interact with the user primarily through voice commands. The new SYNC Applink platform SDK is now available for download after developers register themselves at the ford website.

Apple announces 40 billion app downloads

Apple has announced that it has reached a milestone of more than 40 billion apps being downloaded on its platform, with more than 20 billion in the previous year itself. Over 7 billion dollars have been paid to app developers by the company till now.
